Caring, common sense dog training.
I have worked with dogs in various ways over the past 26 years: veterinary technician, protection and security dog handling, obedience instruction, and as a behavior consultant. I have been teaching group obedience classes and offering private training sessions through Kindred Spirits for the last sixteen years.
I am an AKC CGC evaluator and a teacher of the Red Cross Emergency Pet First Aid course.
I am a past president of the national board of Love on a Leash, a therapy animal organization. I enjoy doing therapy visits at local nursing homes, first with Walter, and now with Qwill.
What students say:
“I called Kate regarding the problems we are having with our newly-acquired dog. She came to our house this evening and worked with us and Sheba. Kate is WONDERFUL! She gave us a chance to see Sheba and ourselves in a whole new light. Thank you!” -Joyce
“You have encouraged us and shown us what it means to not only like dogs, but enjoy living with them and having fun. THANK YOU!! Boy am I glad we found you!” -Jo
“Your ‘common sense, caring’ approach to training really is just that – and very effective indeed! All the best,” -Sharon
